Percent Off is built to work without collecting anything about you. This policy explains what that means in plain language.
We do not collect, store on a server, sell, or share your personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking in the app.
Everything you enter, including your lists, people's names, photos you choose, gift names and prices, budgets, and settings, is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us or to any server we control. If you use iCloud or an iPhone backup, Apple may include the app's data in your backup according to your own device settings.
If you choose a photo for a person, the app uses the system photo picker. The app receives only the photo you select, and does not have access to the rest of your library. The photo is stored on your device inside the app.
If you paste a product link, or share one to Percent Off from Safari or a store's app, the app downloads that web page directly from the store's website, on your device, to read the product's name, price, photo, and details. These requests go straight from your device to that store, never through any server of ours, and we do not see the links you use or what the pages contain. As with visiting any website, the store can see that your device requested the page. The name, price, photo, and details the app reads are saved on your device with your gift, along with the link.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. To confirm that you have unlocked the app, the app checks purchase and receipt information that Apple provides on your device.
If you contact us from the app or by email, we receive your email address and the message you write. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app, and we do not share it.
The app does not include advertising or analytics services. It uses an open-source library, entirely on your device, to read the App Store receipt that Apple places there. That library does not send data anywhere.
The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Because your data lives only on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting the app. You can also delete individual lists, people, and gifts inside the app.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
